Denton Vote Group was at opening day for the 2022 Denton Community Market and what a day it was! In my five years of doing voter registration at the Market this was the largest number of vendors and attendees I have seen.
We had a very productive day with 32 registrations/updates plus handing out a few mail-in forms. In addition we passed along voting information to numerous people who stopped by our tent.
While us old folks were fishing for voters with a line and a pole, Brant Beland and Suzie Miller were fishing with a seine. Brant and Suzie have a wonderful talent for drawing people in and signing them up. Great work by this couple today.
Thanks to Dicla Monterroso for coordinating with the Market to get us in. Thanks to Nancy Baier for hauling in our supplies and equipment. Thanks to Gary Massey for being our all purpose guy today.
Everyone pitched in on the voter education effort. For usually quiet folks we each can give a pretty good spiel about voting in Texas.
